Bud Travers played a number of important roles in the administration of U.C. Berkeley over the course of his 37 years there, including co-chairing the Campus Task Force for the Recruitment, Enrollment and Graduation of Underrepresented Students, which oversaw the greatest growth and graduation of underrepresented students in history of the University of California.
HeĀ retired in 2003 as Vice Chancellor, and has continued his educational advocacy work by serving on theĀ Board of Students Rising Above and A Home Away From Homelessness, as well as an advisor to the Berkeley Campus Upward Bound Program.
