Alyson joined Home Away in 2002 as the Director of Mentoring and Volunteer Services. She has had the pleasure of meeting and training over 500 volunteers, many of whom are still volunteer their time and energies.
In 2008, Alyson was promoted to Associate Director, providing overall administrative and programmatic support and oversight for the staff and agency.
In addition, Alyson serves as an Affiliated Community Minister with the Unitarian Universalist Society of San Francisco. 
She received her M.Div. from Starr King School for the Ministry in Berkeley, CA and her undergraduate degree from Emerson College in Boston, MA. She moved from Portland, Maine to San Francisco in 1985. She has worked for a variety of non-profit agencies, including: Berkeley Repertory Theater, San Francisco League of Women Voters, San Francisco Network Ministries and Compass Community Services.
Alyson is an avid bicyclist and commutes from Bernal Heights to Home Away regularly.
